Yet another 2006 top list

... if everybody can write one, I can too!

I'm not sure about the order, but here it goes: (here too, with last.fm links)

- Taylor Deupree - Northern
Makes me feel well and at home, don't know why

- Loscil - Plume
Pulsing and soothing, much beauty with few elements

- Tim Hecker - Harmony In Ultraviolet.
Classic music

- Biosphere - Dropsonde
Jazzy loops and drones... fills with peace my darker nights... and the sweeter ones too

- Keith Jarrett - The Carnegie Hall Concert
Seen live twice this year - few musicians can drive me to tears

- Triosk - The Headlight Serenade
Fresh and deep jazz

- Ellen Allien & Apparat - Orchestra of Bubbles
Makes me shake it

- Yo La Tengo - I Am Not Afraid Of You And I Will Beat Your Ass
Seen live and enjoyed like a child

- Thom Yorke - The Eraser
Kid B? So what? Delicious

- Sufjan Stevens - The Avalanche: Outtakes & Extras from Illinois Album
Genius. Seen live and enjoyed even more than the record

- Squarepusher - Hello Everything
Fun and mad as one would expect - enormous musician

- Jan Jelinek - Tierbeobachtungen
Simple loops become very complex atmospheres - mysterious

- Max Richter - Songs From Before
Some real beauty hidden inside

- Jóhann Jóhannsson - IBM 1401, A User's Manual
Retrocomputing + strings: irresistibly sweet
